What are Gateway Games?

Gateway games act as accessible entry points into other games. You might find you're really interested, for example, in a tough game like Dark Souls or Richard Burns Rally, or you want to get into turn-based RPGs but you know you'd be in over your head, and that's where gateway games come in.

Take rally games, for example. Richard Burns Rally, especially the modern community modded versions, are some of the best simulation tier rally experiences you can find. So, you are really interested in rally games but you know jumping into the deep end probably isn't a good idea. You might start out on Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure, then move to V-Rally 4, then the KT WRC games, then Dirt Rally 2.0, and finally Richard Burns Rally.
